Cherokee Adult Tennis

Cherokee offers a variety of opportunities for adults to enjoy their game and continue to work on their form and technique. Mixed Doubles Events, Club Tournaments, and year-round Adult Leagues on our indoor hard courts and outdoor clay courts are just the beginning of Cherokee Tennis.

Beginner Lessons

Beginner lessons are available year-round.  You may participate in one session as a non-member of Cherokee.  These lessons are co-branded with the USTA as “Start/ReStart Tennis”, and you are provided with a free t-shirt when you register online with USTA. Visit to register.

USTA Start/ReStart

We offer adult singles and doubles leagues, from a 3.0 to a 4.5 NTRP rating level, all year long. In summer, we take advantage of the weather and schedule a 9-week league session on our outdoor clay courts. Players register for our doubles leagues on an individual basis, so there’s no stress in trying to find a partner when you’re new to the club.

Fall League in session!  See Winter League information below!

Mixed Doubles

Our members often enjoy playing in round-robin style mixers/drills. In the summertime, we play outdoors on the clay courts. We are always happy to help find you a partner, and work hard to match everyone up with players of their level.  Watch the schedule for future mixers!

Tennis drills mix fun with instruction for players who are new to the fundamentals and strategies of tennis, or looking to sharpen up their skills.  Sessions are held on Sundays from noon to 1pm, for $20 per session.

Drills to restart in the Spring.
