Welcome to Cherokee

Our staff strives to make our members' time with us as relaxing as possible. For your convenience, we have a fully-staffed, complimentary Child Watch for your children to enjoy while you are on the Cherokee grounds. Relax and enjoy golf, tennis, fitness and other activities knowing your children are having fun in a safe environment. Your children will have free play inside and outside, enjoy arts and crafts, bubbles, books, board games, puzzles, movies and more.

Child Watch Director- Heather Jones

My name is Heather Jones and I am the ChildWatch director. I received my BA in Communications and Marketing from Saint Mary's College, University of Notre Dame. I have served on the Board of Directors for University Avenue Daycare, the Policy Committee at Sacred Hearts School and have been Head Volleyball Coach at Sacred Hearts. I have also substitute taught in Wisconsin schools and worked in various Wisconsin childcare programs.

I bring my own children to ChildWatch each day so it is very near and dear to my heart. For me, this is not just a job, but also a very important part of my children's everyday lives.

At Cherokee we go beyond drop-off child care and function more like a preschool with different weekly themes and corresponding projects. My goal is to provide learning activities, sensory experiences, and craft projects on a regular basis. We will also periodically have outside time in the warmer months, and gym time in the colder months.

For health reasons, I try to use all green and child-friendly products for cleaning the Child Watch room, keeping the harsh chemicals out. I have purchased a UV wand to sanitize 99.9% of germs and viruses in a chemical-free manor, which I use after hours and not around the children. If you have any questions, concerns, or want to talk about something you would like to see in Child Watch, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Child Watch Hours:

• Monday-Friday 8:30am-12:00pm
• In cases of inclement weather, please call ahead before coming

Club Policies:

• Parents MUST stay on Cherokee grounds
• If your child has special needs or concerns, please notify a staff member
